These are the steps we would normally go through, from our first contact
with you till after
your event.
| Our first contact |
Your initial
inquiry may have been by phone or email. At this stage we need
as much relevant information as possible about your event, to
help us work out the right performers for the right price. We
will need to know things like your contact details, date and
times you would like live entertainment, type of event, venue,
etc. Our online
Inquiry form
is a good place to start.
|
| Free consultation |
The more
information we have, the better we can tailor our
recommendations to your particular needs and your budget. After we
receive the initial information, we may contact you by phone, or
email to discuss your requirements in more detail.
|
| Options |
Now that we know
what you require, we will source just the right entertainment
from our extensive database. We then send you an email with
links to different pages on our website of performers that would
be most suitable for your particular situation. Each page
contains photos, info, sound and/or video clips and a sample
song list for your perusal.
|
| Proposal |
After you've made
your initial choice(s), we will contact the performers and check
their availability for your date(s). This normally takes not more than
24 hours, after which we will be able to send you a proposal and
quote by email or letter.
|
| Quote |
Although we will
always do our best to give you a fair price, our fees are not set in
concrete. We are open to negotiation and will negotiate on your
behalf to get the best for the best rates. Our quote will be an
all inclusive fee, with no hidden costs. Extras such as PA, lights, MC, travel, accommodation, etc. will be clearly
stated and included in the total fee. The commission for
the honest agent will be a fixed 20% for the first contract and
15% thereafter.
|
| Booking |
After we've agreed on the performers, fees
and conditions, we will invite you to make a booking. If you do, we will
reserve the date(s) for you. To secure your booking we would need a signed
contract and a deposit. |
| Contract |
We will send you
two copies of a contract, a 'job brief' of which a copy goes to
the performers and an invoice. All the specific
conditions that we have agreed on will be covered in this
contract and attached job brief. One copy of the
contract needs to be signed and returned in the supplied self
addressed envelope. The other copy is yours to keep.
Some details may need to be added or amended later, such as: special song requests, liaison with
the events/venue coordinator (we will normally check out the venue for
loading/unloading, band space, etc.), running sheet, name of the MC, etc.
|
| Deposit |
A deposit of 20% is
required to secure the booking. This is due at the signing of
the contract, unless otherwise agreed. You will receive a
receipt as soon as you've paid. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, or money
order made out to: the honest agent. You could also use direct
debit into our
bank
account with mention of our invoice number.
|
| Final payment |
The fee for the
band and the conditions of payment are set out in the contract.
In general, payment is due (less the deposit you've already paid) not later
then two weeks before the day of the performance, unless other arrangements
have been agreed upon.
|
| Money back
guarantee |
Within 24 hours
after the event we will contact you by phone or email. We will
be checking with you or your representative if the live
entertainment was to your satisfaction, and was conducted as laid out in our
contract. If by any chance you feel the entertainment did not
meet the terms of the contract, we invite
you to let us know in writing why you were not satisfied. We
will then investigate thoroughly and refund all
or part of the fee, depending on the circumstances of the
individual case. That is our guarantee.
